Class/Event: Information Session-Organizational Assessments & the Impact Capacity Assessment Tool (iCAT)
Date: Tuesday, January 30, 2018 - 12:00 PM
Location: The Winston-Salem Foundation Building, 751 West Fourth Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101-3rd floor Burress Family Center for Philanthropy, Neill Board Room
Description: Evaluating an organization’s strengths and challenges is critical to planning strategically for the future. An organizational assessment provides a “snapshot” of an organization’s health so that boards, staff, and stakeholders can make strategic decisions to help organizations effectively deliver programs and services. Organizational assessment are intended to:

-Highlight organizational strengths and challenges in key governance and management areas

-Recommend actions to strengthen these areas

-Identify resources that can help with implementing the recommended actions

HandsOn NWNC is now using the Impact Capacity Assessment Tool (iCAT) to help facilitate this process. The iCAT is an anonymous online survey that collects information from invited stakeholders, leadership, key staff, and Board members on six, research-based organizational capacities: Leading, Learning, Resource Generating, Planning, Managing, and Overseeing. The system then produces a report, which summarizes the information.

HandsOn NWNC guides the administration and interpretation of the report.

Join us on January 30 to find out more about the iCAT. Not only does this tool save time, but provides a number of other benefits you'll find helpful.

The information session will be held at The Winston-Salem Foundation building located at 751 West Fourth Street. Click here for a map to the building.

Please park in the overflow lot across from the building at the corner of 4th and Broad Streets. To gain access to the building, cross 4th Street and walk along the side of the building adjacent to Broad Street. There is a pedestrian access gate that faces the Broad Street sidewalk. Enter the passcode 7510 to unlock the gate and you’ll be able to access the back of the building where you'll find the main entrance to the elevators. Take the elevators to the 3rd floor and exit to the left. Go down the hall to the Burress Family Center for Philanthropy and the meeting room will be on your left in the Pfefferkorn Conference Room.

Bring your lunch and we'll provide the drinks and dessert. For planning purposes, please register below.
