Programs for Corporations & Employee Volunteers
Green Divider Line

HandsOn NWNC provides a wide variety of valuable services at a reasonable cost for businesses and corporations seeking engagement with the nonprofit sector. Whether a business is looking to expand or enhance employee volunteer activities, prepare associates to serve as effective members on local board of directors, or wants to create a one-time, service-based team building activity, we are uniquely positioned to help make community engagement “work” for business. HandsOn NWNC knows that community involvement can have a big impact on the bottom line as both customers and employees look for companies that have a proven track record of social responsibility.

We provide a range of offerings that allow companies to meet their business objectives while being responsive to the realities of the nonprofit sector. We provide consulting to companies that need assistance with project development and management, program development and growth, special events or one-time service opportunities. We can train associates and employees to serve on boards, and help strengthen your company’s internal volunteer program. We've worked with companies both small and large, including Belk, Duke Energy, and IMG/WME, and we'll be happy to structure a package of services that works for you!

Three Levels of Service for Group Opportunities
Green Divider Line

While all fees for customized service packages are negotiated directly with your company, we do offer three levels of service if you're looking to organize a one-time, group service event for your employees.

Community Connections - FREE!

We'll be happy to e-mail you this generic list of nonprofits within our network that tend to work well with groups. However, there is no guarantee that any them would have a project that would meet your specific criteria. All follow-up would be the responsibility of you and your team. Please e-mail us for more information.

Matchmaking Service
Minimum $50

For this level of service, we send out a request for projects to our entire network of more than 400 nonprofits, and have them turnaround possible project ideas for you. This would then generate a list of service project sites that would meet your specific criteria (usually between 6-12 options). You would then choose the ones that would be of most interest to your team and would be responsible for finalizing the logistics of the project with the nonprofit partner. This process usually takes approximately two weeks of turnaround time to get you the customized list. This option can save you significant time, because you know that every organization on the list has a project that would accommodate your size and schedule, as well as any unique requests (like being able to bring children as well as adults to the project.)

Customized Development and Management
Minimum $1,000/ Negotiated on a Per-Project Basis

Don't have time to make all those phone calls and handle all of the logistics of a service day yourself? Then leave all the planning to us! In addition to identifying an appropriate project that meets the goals of your company, we’ll provide our own touch of HandsOn technical assistance, working with a community partner to plan the project handle all of the logistical details, and provide ways to evaluate the results. Costs are usually done on a per-person basis; project supplies are additional. All you and you'll team will need to do is show up at the designated time and place, ready to serve!
